Both the lyrics and the music to "Dwelling in Beulah Land" were written in 1911 by C. Austin Miles. The hymn has remained popular for over a century, appearing in over 125 hymnals. In 1970 the melody was adapted for the national anthem of Fiji, "Meda Dau Doka" or "God Bless Fiji." Miles wrote about 400 hymns, the best known of which is "In the Garden."
