"Jesus Loves Even Me"

Mandolin, guitar, ukuleles, and piano accompany the singers on this great old hymn by Philip Paul Bliss.

Bliss wrote this hymn after attending a service where "O How I Love Jesus" was sung. He said afterward, "Have I not been singing enough about my poor love for Jesus and shall I not rather sing of His great love for me?" From this thought came this hymn.

Bliss wrote many hymns including "Almost Persuaded," "Dare to Be a Daniel," "Hallelujah, What a Savior," "Hold the Fort," "It is Well With My Soul," and "Wonderful Words of Life."

He died at the young age of 38 after a train wreck. Although he survived the initial crash, he was killed when he went back in the burning wreckage to try to rescue his wife.
